Ghanaian rapper Medikal has sparked conversations online after sharing his thoughts about award-winning female rapper Eno Barony during an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM.
Despite their ongoing lyrical rivalry, Medikal openly acknowledged Eno Barony’s rap talent, describing her as one of the best female rappers on the continent.
Speaking in Pidgin English during the interview, the “Omo Ada” hitmaker revealed that he was impressed after listening to one of Eno Barony’s songs on the radio.
“You no sey Eno Barony dey rap? I dey drive wey I dey listen one of her songs on the radio, her verse was dope. For a female rapper, she is very dope. She dey rap pass plenty of the male rappers in Ghana apart from me,” Medikal said.
The rapper further stated that he believes his rap style and level are different from other artists in the industry, insisting that he cannot easily be compared to his peers.
“You know sey me I dey my zone. I dey do my things different. You no go fit pair me plus any other rapper. You for put me and her on song top and I go show sey women empowerment no dey work for my top,” he added.
Medikal’s comments have since generated mixed reactions on social media, with many fans praising him for recognizing Eno Barony’s talent while others debate who would dominate on a collaboration between the two rappers.
Eno Barony is widely regarded as one of Ghana’s finest female rappers, known for her lyrical strength and consistency in the music industry.
